Position Title: Daffodil Depot Lead

Position Description: ● Attend a depot location in Mississauga for various 2-3 hour shifts and meet with volunteers to distribute their volunteering supplies for use at local canvassing locations
● Confirm attendance, maintain organization, and generally supervise the 'Daffodil Depot' location in accordance with instructions/directions provided by the Society

Goal of Position: In 1956, the Canadian Cancer Society began using the DAFFODIL, its symbol of hope in the fight against cancer, in an annual fundraising campaign that now is well known to Canadians across the nation, and readily associated with the month of April.

As part of the Daffodil Month campaign infrastructure, we seek volunteer 'Leads' to manage our Daffodil Depot locations during the month of April.

We need you and your organizational skills to join us in making the Campaign for 2019 an unqualified success!

Position Qualifications: ● Friendly, engaging with volunteers and Society staff
● Solid oral/written English communication skills
● Ability to organize and generally supervise volunteer canvassers, in a leadership capacity/role
● Commitment to abide by schedule(s) (punctual, plus ensure that volunteers are supplied with campaign kits and adequate information about shift locations and post-shift procedures)
