'Bridging the Gap' (Tuesday (weekly) from 3 - 5 pm) - Seniors will reciprocate with teens (who will acquaint seniors with 'social media' and other aspects of 21st century technology, including 'ipads') by seniors sharing 'pre-technology' games/crafts that remembers the 'old ways' and shows that they're still fun! The program is designed to be a healthy, productive, and engaging 'bridge' between older adults and youth, with benefits for both generations! PLEASE APPLY IMMEDIATELY, given that the Grandpals Project is already active, with 'Bridging the Gap' in need of teen volunteers. |

● Minimum age - 13 ● Solid oral/written English communication skills ● Fluency in another language welcome ● Familiar with, and confident in explaining, 'social media', and use of 'ipads' and related devices (PCs, laptops, tablets, etc.) ● Receptive to seniors' explanations/demonstrations of 'pre-technology' ● Friendly, engaging, and keen to accomplish the program goals ● Organized, committed to abide by session schedule(s) ● Comfortable in volunteering as part of a team, and one-on-one with seniors |
