This is a local community (neighbourhood) canvass, with subsequent event outreach, that involves: - going 'door to door' with printed media and other materials that identify/inform/promote' Purpose Provision Program' - focus on/promotion of our May 25, 2019 community event - friendly greeting and sharing enthusiasm about, and belief in, our organization and our 'mission' - wearing one of our T-shirts - walking a neighbourhood (or commercial area) OUTDOORS PLEASE APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, and by no later than May 15th. + Excellent opportunity to learn about 'door to door' canvassing as a volunteer + Event provides chance to enjoy volunteering in a family, community atmosphere + Learn about 'Purpose Provision Program' and help PROMOTE IT, by building awareness of it in the local community + Both the canvass and the event will provide an great 'networking' opportunity + Snacks and lunch offered + Confirmation of hours (reference) will be given upon satisfactory completion of engagement + Secondary school students may earn hours towards their '40 hour' community service' graduation requirement + Become part of our 'volunteering family' (with the potential for future opportunities) |

Promotion (canvass/distribution): ● Minimum age - 16 ● Friendly, readily, able, and willing to engage with members of the public ● Willing to learn about, and openly support, 'Purpose Provision Plan' ● Solid oral English communication skills (fluency in other languages welcome) ● Physically able to walk a neighbourhood, carrying (and distributing) promotional material, with verbal greeting/explanation/encouragement to householders ● Able to dress to, and accommodate, weather conditions Event Support: ● Available Saturday, May 25, 2019 (hours ????) (See above, 'walking' requirement excepted) |
