The principal 'role'for our Event Volunteer is acting as a 'route marshal, in order to guide and assist participants as they navigate and traverse the hiking course. ● Minimum age - 14 ● Friendly, engagingly enthusiastic towards members of the public ● Commitment to assist and 'cheer on' 'Hike for Hospice' participants ● Capacity to stand for extended periods (the event is expected to last 4 hours) ● Willingness to cope with possibly inclement weather (rain, wind, etc.), dressing appropriately ● Punctuality and reliability for the Sunday event |

This is a one day event with a brief orientation. This position is particularly suitable for volunteers who prefer 'event volunteering'. This opportunity is open to all. |
