About the Position
Breast Cancer Society of Canada (Mother's Day Walk) Streetsville Memorial Park, 335 Church Street, Mississauga, ON, Canada Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon
Our 'Event Volunteers' take on a wide variety of roles:
- Set Up: Tents, Tables, Signage
- Parking Attendants
- Greeters
- Participant Engagement Station (ensuring a great participant and family experience)
- Photo Booth
- Directional Guards (keeping everyone on the walking route)
- Refreshment Station
- Survivor Central (for breast cancer survivors, often run by volunteer survivors)
- Swag & Vendor Tables (a fundraising feature)
- Tear Down & Clean Up

● Support for the BCSC, its mission and commitment to awareness
● Willingness to be friendly and engaging with participants (and their families and friends)
● Solid oral English communication skills (fluency in other languages welcome)
● Skills/experience to facilitate a specific role always welcome
● Physical ability to volunteer at an outdoor event (incl. standing, walking, event set up/tear down, if applicable)
● Willingness to volunteer as part of a team
● Appropriate dress to the weather conditions
● Punctuality is a MUST (for the event and any training)
Orientation to the event and specific roles will be provided.
