About the Position
Purpose Provision Program Committee meetings may be scheduled for various locations, principally in Brampton Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon
Not just a 'think tank', Planning Committee Volunteers will transform values, vision, and mission into reality, a commitment that entails the following:
- Review PPP's community service history (project/program performance/effectiveness)
- Assess PPP's place, mission in the local community, under current conditions
- Confirm the identity (and needs) of the residents intended to be served
- Establish the identity of other 'audiences' (government, community stakeholders, volunteers, supporters - actual/potential, media reach)
- Review 'the brand', with regard to distinctiveness, relevancy, appeal, and future trends
- Formulate/structure a 'strategic plan' (short term/long term goals, milestones/levels)
- Refine procedures for efficient, meaningful engagement of volunteers
- Suggest worthwhile projects/programming for the immediate future, with input about how these may be realized

● Minimum age - 25
● We request a commitment of at least 4 months, and the engagement may be longer, depending upon progress achieved, with continuity within the committee being of primary importance
● Excellent oral/written English communication skills
● Past volunteer leadership experience is a definite asset
● Awareness and commitment to 'diversity and inclusiveness' in the local community
● Thorough appreciation and understanding of Purpose Provision Program's value, mission, and goals
● Project planning and/or community service programming experience is an asset
● Strategic planning experience is also an asset
● Research/data analysis expertise is welcome
● Organized, respectful of planning deadlines, need to realize goals, achieve results, while equally able to be creative, innovative (thinking 'outside the box')
Orientation about the role will be part of the interview stage.
Training will depend upon the skills/experience of successful applicants.
