About the Position

Activities & Expectations of 'Girls Can Too' participants:

> Daily work activities including removing invasive species, monitoring planting sites, and maintaining trails (using tools supplied and learning appropriate techniques and safety protocols)
> Arrive on time at a designated pick up location each day
> Participate in an orientation, tool training session, and health & safety session
> Comply with all health and safety instructions provided and maintain a safety focus during all tasks
> Other tasks as assigned

+ Upon completion of the program, participants receive a certificate verifying their hours of community service to the Bolton Camp, which can be used towards their '40 hours' high school graduation requirement
Eligibility:
volunteers less than 18 years of age require parental or guardian consent to participate in this program.
● At least 11 years of age (volunteers less than 18 years of age require parental or guardian consent to participate in this program)
● Enrolled in grade 7, 8, 9, or 10, as of September, 2019
● Able to commit to volunteering for ONE FULL WEEK (Monday thru Friday) during August
● Interested in the outdoors and environmental conservation
● Comfortable volunteering in a team environment
● Punctual and reliable
