The role includes (and is not necessarily limited to): - Assisting customers/donors with unloading their empty donations - Encouraging Beer Store customers to donate their empties to Habitat for Humanity GTA - Facilitating the return process by sorting empties into 'like' groups. For Example: > Beer bottles by colour > Wine and spirits by clear and coloured glass > Collect & count aluminum cans > Separate tetra, plastic and other containers > Help keep track of donations (if necessary) Locations: 80 Peel Centre Dr, Brampton 55 Charolais Drive, Brampton 180 Sandalwood Parkway, Brampton 150 McEwan Dr, Bolton (Caledon) THIS IS A ONE-DAY VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY (SATURDAY, September 14), so you are invited to apply ASAP by 'clicking' the yellow box 'Apply Now!', below, which will take you to our online APPLICATION FORM. ● Minimum age - 18 ● 'Customer service' oriented (friendly, confident in engaging with the public) ● Solid oral English communication skills ● Keenly aware of Habitat for Humanity and our work in the GTA (with sufficient knowledge to be able to promote us in order to attract donations - PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE (under 'Social Contacts', below)) *** And, PLEASE: - wear a blue shirt (if you own one), plus dress to the weather - bring water and snacks - bring a lawn chair (some locations may provide table and chairs and some may not) |
