Program leads and support volunteers will introduce and guide youth participants (girls in Grades 6 through 12) in a variety of stimulating activities designed to promote mental health, address issues that are unique to them, and add resiliance. Please see QUALIFICATIONS, below.



Volunteers need not be trained in childhood education or youth mentoring. Your presence and influence as a 'role model', good listener, and engaging leader/mentor are what 'Girls Hangout' most needs!

• Open to persons who identify themselves as being of the female gender, from 18 to 30 years of age


• You have excellent English oral/written communication skills


• You're comfortable and confident in leading small youth groups in a 'virtual' setting that will be entirely online (Grades 6 through 12)


• Regular, reliable access to the Internet, with devices (PC, Laptop, etc.) and software that are appropriate for this 'role'


• Prior volunteer leadership experience will be helpful, though not required


• Friendly, engaging, passionate about supporting youth in your community, plus you are a 'role model' in waiting


• You're a self-starter, keen to learn about 'Girls Hangout' and committed to contribute your talent, energy, and time (until June, 2021)
