GoalVON Canada is a national, not-for-profit, charitable home and community care organization. For more than 125 years, our nurses, therapists and other health care providers have cared for Canadians in their own homes. Today, we offer more than 75 home care, personal support, and community services designed to help people of all ages to get healthy and stay healthy. Our team of more than 5,000 staff and 9,000 volunteers serves Canadians in more than 1,200 communities across our country. The purpose of the Senior Lunch Bunch Program is to improve the health and well-being of isolated seniors living in the community, giving them the opportunity to socialize while eating a nutritious hot lunch in a group setting. As a senior lunch bunch volunteer, you will be helping to set up the dining room, welcome clients, serve meals, and enjoy valuable time. If you are an early retiree, even an 'older adult' (55+) without pre-existing conditions that have you classified as 'vulnerable,' engaging with the VON may be a great way to help.
