Journey Thrift, a nonprofit secondhand store in downtown Brampton, is powered by volunteers who help make affordable shopping possible while supporting local families in need. Our non-profit directly supports The Journey Neighbourhood Centre, which serves the Ardglen and Orenda neighbourhoods of Brampton. By accepting and selling gently-used goods, we generate income that contributes directly to the development and implmentation of the services provided by The Journey Neighbourhood Centre. As a volunteer, you’ll gain hands-on experience in retail, customer service, and donation sorting—all while working in a friendly, welcoming environment. SCREENING of applicants will be in person, unless advised otherwise. After you apply, as a precaution, please monitor your email (incl. 'Junk/Spam' folders) for communications from Journey Thrift and The Journey Neighbourhood Centre. Time CommitmentThis is a Medium Term (4 - 6 months) commitment
Shifts are available on the following days - Monday Morning, Tuesday Morning, Tuesday Afternoon, Wednesday Afternoon, Thursday Morning, Thursday Afternoon, Friday Morning, Friday Afternoon, Friday Evening, Saturday Evening ALL VOLUNTEER SHIFTS are scheduled for the same day and same time each week Monday to Thursday Morning shifts are from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM and Afternoon shifts are from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Friday and Saturday Morning shifts are from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM and Afternoon shifts are from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM and Evening Shifts are from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM We ask that our volunteers take on at least one (1) shift a week and commit to coming each week of their engagement.
