Grand Parade Volunteer Ambassador — Team Recruitment & Fundraising

Become a vital part of the Grand Parade by serving as a Volunteer Ambassador! In this role, you will actively recruit and sign up teams to participate in the parade, helping to grow our community of walkers celebrating seniors with every step. Your enthusiasm and outreach skills will inspire individuals, groups, and organizations to join the cause.

As an ambassador, you will also support fundraising efforts by encouraging participants and their networks to gather donations that help make this event possible. Your efforts directly contribute to the success of the parade and the important programs it supports for seniors.

If you enjoy connecting with people, motivating teams, and making a meaningful impact through fundraising, this role is perfect for you!

 
Description

Your role as a Volunteer Ambassador will be to:

  • Sign-up your team on https://thegrandparade.org/location/mississauga.
  • Recruit 5-10 walkers and sign them up under your team. It can be friends and family.
  • If you cannot physically join the walk, you can still sign up to go for a walk around your OWN community or join for a virtual walk.
  • Free food and snacks will be available.
  • You will recieve a fundraising certificate as volunteer recognition as well as 20 hours towards highschool requirement.

 

When: Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 9:00AM-1:00PM {THE GRAND PARADE WALK}

Where: Creditvale Mills Community Wellness Hub. 1555 South Parade Court, Mississauga
Benefits

Volunteer Ambassadors recieve: 

  • Fundriasing experience certificate from Peel Senior Link
  • 20 hours towards highschoolr equirement

Be 16 years or older.

Time Commitment
This is a Special Event commitment starting 2025-08-01 AND ending 2025-09-20
Shifts are available on the following days
 - Saturday Morning, Saturday Afternoon
