The Kidney Foundation of Canada is the national volunteer organization committed to reducing the burden of kidney disease through funding and stimulating innovative research; providing education and support; promoting access to quality healthcare; and increasing public awareness and commitment to advancing kidney health and organ donation.

The Kidney Foundation partners with Rama Gaming House to raise funds for our programs.

We are looking for individuals to volunteer at Rama Gaming House (2295 Battleford Rd, Mississauga), and represent The Kidney Foundation at the site, performing duties such as clean-up and handing out ballots, and sharing information about our organization to the guests.


Description

  • To provide great customer service and be a customer ambassador. Welcome customers at the main entrance and thank them for supporting your charity and assisting with doors.

  • Provide information on games, programs, and promotions, answer questions etc. Circulate in Cabinet Game area â€ chat with customers when appropriate.
  • If requested by the operator â€ assist with promotions e.g., handing out ballots, prizes.
  • Support approved charity awareness initiatives from your charity â€ e.g., displays, brochures, giveaways, or gifts.
  • May also with clean‐up, assist with delivery of food and non‐alcoholic beverages return food trays to kitchen area, assist with clean‐up used bingo paper.
  • Assist with call-backs of bingo winners you will be shown how if this is required.

Qualifications

Requirements: Works collaboratively with Chapter staff. Must have reliable transportation.

Commitment: Both evening and weekend availability is required.

We are looking for a minimum of a 6-month commitment, 2-4 hours per month.

Please note that when a volunteer misses a shift, this results in a loss of funds for The Kidney Foundation.
