Goal

Join us in celebrating love, inclusion, and community at Peel Pride Caledon! This vibrant event brings together people from across Peel Region to uplift 2SLGBTQ+ voices, promote equity, and create a welcoming space for all.

IDEA Caledon's 2nd Annual Caledon Pride Picnic, which will take place this year from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Caledon East Park on May 31st, 2025. 


Description

As an Event Volunteer at Peel Pride Caledon, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe, and inclusive atmosphere. Volunteers will support various aspects of event.

  • Welcome and direct attendees upon arrival
  • Assist with food stall tasks as assigned
  • Support vendors and community partners as needed
  • Ensure cleanliness of event space
  • Encourage a respectful and inclusive environment for all

Qualifications

  • Friendly, welcoming attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to support different event needs
  • Interest in community engagement and 2SLGBTQ+ inclusion
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Access to Vehicle or availablity for pick up and drop off as this location is not accessible by public transportation.

Time Commitment
This is a Special Event commitment starting 2025-05-31 AND ending 2025-05-31
Shifts are available on the following days
 - Saturday Morning, Saturday Afternoon

Please note that the event location is not accessible by public transportationVolunteers are encouraged to have access to a vehicle.

May 31 Saturday from 11 to 3 p.m

Volunteers are required to arrive by 10:30 A.M

 


Training

Will be provided to those who has successfully completed the onboarding steps.
