- We are looking for a volunteer possessing organizational and time management skills, who will assist with the preparation and completion of office related tasks with the Programs Team

> Position Details:
- Preparing shipments and mail outs (main focus of this role)
- Other duties include: filing/scanning; counting and banding brochures; data entry; filing and photocopying; organizing and maintaining storage areas
- Support staff (use well known Microsoft Office software)

We are looking for at least 2 volunteers to fill the important role of Office Administrative Volunteer, who will assist, and be responsible for, the Programs Department at our very active and engaged Mississauga Office.

The role is an excellent opportunity for a keen volunteer who seeks to acquire solid experience in office administration and customer service within an established not-for-profit office setting, plus gain exposure to our community programming initiatives.

Position Qualifications
● Length of volunteer engagement - 6 months (see 'Time Commitment', below)
● Prior experience in an office setting is an asset
● Strong oral/written English
● Comfortable with fundamental computer skills (incl. Microsoft Office applications, Internet, email, etc.)
● Committed to following direction, plus learning new skills as you go
● Organized, with attention-to-detail
● Ability to volunteer collaboratively as part of a team, plus be independent
● Occasional light lifting of boxes is part of this role

PLEASE NOTE: We require a 6-month commitment, and MINIMUM VOLUNTEERING of ONCE A WEEK for 2 - 3 hours
VOLUNTEER OFFICE HOURS: Tuesday through Friday, from 9AM - 4PM

Specific weekly scheduling is FLEXIBLE, to be arranged with successful applicants.

Orientation will be provided by Programs Administrator.
Training appropriate for the role will be provided by a designated staff member and peer volunteer.
