GoalThe Region of Peel serves more than 1.4 million residents in Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon. Our 20-year vision for Peel is Community for Life. Our goal is to create a place where everyone enjoys a sense of belonging and has access to the services and opportunities needed to thrive in each stage of their lives. Located in the heart of a well-established residential community known as Park Royal, Sheridan Villa (LTC) has more than 40 years of experience in caring for the Peel community. Sheridan Villa been recently renovated into a 142-bed modern home for residents and 'Adult Day Service' clients. Our volunteers enjoy the vital role of enhancing seniors' living in many ways within the facility, plus helping them connect to the local community.As COVID-19 restrictions gradually ease, the Region of Peel has begun a return of volunteers to 'in person' volunteering opportunities, and Sheridan Villa invites YOU to return to (or newly experience) the pleasure of assisting resident seniors at that LTC facility. DescriptionParticipate in a variety of programs and services at Sheridan Villa, including:
Long Term Care Centre Volunteers ensure that each resident/client is treated with respect and dignity and that his/her choices and preferences are considered and respected at all times. Volunteers provide Supervisors, Activation, and Volunteer Services with information on a regular basis (residents visited, participation level and length of visit). PLEASE APPLY AT THE EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY. Volunteers with 'profiles' in Volunteer MBC's Referral System can click the yellow box 'Apply Now!' (above), and your name/contact information will be added to a confidential list of applicants, plus you will gain immediate access to the Region of Peel online VOLUNTEER APPLICATION PROCESS. If you do not have a 'volunteer profile', you are invited to create one: Create your Volunteer Profile - Volunteer MBC. Applicants should be prepared to provide 2 References and be accessible for a virtual online interview. |

Shifts are available Anytime FLEXIBLE, subject to Sheridan Villa program schedules and residents' needs. Please be prepared for weekly commitments. |
