The Small Arms Inspection Building (SAIB), located in the Lakeview community of Mississauga, owned/operated by the City, is a compelling, light-filled WWII heritage building with an essential connection to parkland, conservation lands, the waterfront, trails, and neighbourhood. This historical and cultural landmark was saved from intended demolition through the efforts of the 'Small Arms Society' (SAS), a non-profit, community-driven organization that continues to preserve and offer the building for multiple cultural uses.

The Small Arms Society (SAS) is excited about initiating its INAUGURAL PROGRAM SEASON in January, 2020, at the Small Arms Inspection Building (SAIB). A successful launch will significantly depend on effective media campaigns that focus on promotion of the intended programs (information, energy, attraction, participation, etc.). Accordingly, SAS is looking for a volunteer 'Marketing & Communications Director' to join our Board of Directors as a member of our Board and committee head, in an exciting leadership 'role'.

This is a volunteer leadership 'role' that you can largely define and shape. Rarely do these come along, and if you are established in 'marketing and communications', or if you're firmly committed to such a career path, filling this 'role' will be an ideal opportunity for you.

+ 'Network' with our dedicated volunteers, staff, stakeholders (supporters, including the City of Mississauga), and expand your 'connectivity'
+ Through the SAS, by volunteering, raise your 'personal profile' in your local community (add to your resume)
