Position: 2683 - Administrator and Exam Proctor

A. Proctoring tests and exams in the test centre (through a surveillance camera)
B. Administrative tasks:
- Answering incoming calls; taking messages and re-directing calls as required
- Dealing with email inquiries
- Managing courses plans and registrations
- Data entry (sales figures, property listings, etc.)
- General office management, such as ordering stationery and other supplies
- Maintaining the organization's 'social media'

ITechSkills Academy is a not-for-profit, community-based organization committed to assisting individuals to enhance their knowledge of Information Technology (IT) either for employment or in their day-to-day life using technology with a focus on individuals who identify as new immigrants, First Nations, Inuit or Métis, racial minorities, women or youth and persons who were previously incarcerated. Our principal aim to enable individuals to upgrade and update their skills to participate and integrate more fully in Canadian society. by assisting them in acquiring the technical skills needed for their careers and to achieve self-determination as well as economic, social and political equality.

We seek at least 2 capable, committed volunteers to direct, control, and supervise the support services of the ITechSkills Academy as a key factor contributing towards our success and that of those individuals whom we educate in our courses and workshops.

Position Qualifications
● Proven oral/written English communication skills (fluency in additional language(s) is welcome)
● Capable of multi-tasking in this multi-faceted volunteering 'role'
● 'Customer Service' experience would be helpful
● High degree of organization, accompanied by attention to detail
● Prior 'office admin' experience is an asset
● Research capability
● Working knowledge of 'social media' platforms

WEEK DAYS: Monday to Friday - 1 volunteer, from 9 am to 1 pm (4 hours, daily); 1 volunteer, from 5 pm to 9 pm (4 hours, daily)

There will be a comprehensive training during the first week to go through all of the Exam Vendors and how to administer the candidates until they gain entitlement to course certificates.
