We anticipate that our 'Volunteer Group Mentor' will:
- Collaborate with Ornaments of Grace and Virtue to develop a successful framework for dialogue/discussion (if appropriate, generate printed material, etc.)
- Establish an immediate presence, with high visibility, among event guests, notably youth
- Attract young girls to gather to 'network' and engage in dialogue about issues and concerns that they share in the local community (including topics that relate to black youth and other minorities)
- Initiate and moderate lively, engaging discussion within the group as a whole, or in sub-groups
- Identify (anticipate) topics that are both relevant and ripe for discussion (debate)
- Monitor the discussions, careful to ensure proper decorum, plus encourage participation
- Generally, be a role model and a leading 'ambassador' in reflecting our organization's vision and mission

Ornaments of Grace and Virtue (OGAV) is a not-for-profit, charitable organization that is passionate about nurturing, mentoring and empowering girls to be responsible and productive young women in our society.

We seek an engaging, dynamic 'Volunteer Group Mentor' to lead dialogue, energize and empower youth, plus moderate discusion at our BREAKFAST EVENT (10AM to 2PM) that will CONNECT MOTHERS & DAUGHTERS in our local community. Our organization's key mission is to mentor young girls to become responsible and productive young women in society and in turn impact the community positively, and this fun, informative event at the Malton Victory Hall (see 'Map', below) on SATURDAY, March 7, 2020, is designed to do just that!

As the event's 'Volunteer Group Moderator', you have a UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY to play a KEY ROLE in the success of this gathering!

Position Qualifications
● Proven experience and a mature outlook as a leader of youth in your local community, preferably focused on issues and needs of female youth
● Friendly, engaging, totally confident in moderating a large discussion group in the manner of a 'mentor' who initiates and stimulates discussion (debate) in a lively, yet fair fashion
● Committed to a community that embraces 'diversity and inclusiveness'
● Ready to collaborate with the principals of our organization in development of a quality framework for discussion (with meetings in advance)
