Goal

Armagh is a second-stage shelter for women and children who are fleeing abuse and violence. We offer transitional supportive housing for up to two years, as a step in between emergency crisis shelter and permanent housing. During the duration of the women and children’s stay at Armagh, we offer a variety of services that allow the residents to begin to address their trauma, overcome it and rebuild their lives free of violence. These services include counselling, art therapy, legal aid, child and youth programs, and supportive programs for the mothers. We are committed to providing women and their children with the best possible opportunities to overcome the effects of abuse and violence. We believe that every person has the right to live without fear, that women and men should have equal opportunities, and that all women have the right to decide the direction in which their lives will take.At Armagh, we rely on fundraising to support our organization, and a portion of our funding comes from participation in cGaming at the Rama Gaming House in Mississauga.Bona Fide Bingo Volunteers play an important role in the fundraising efforts at Armagh.
