Position Overview: As an Electronics Enthusiast Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in our mission to transform donated electronics into treasures for our community. You will be responsible for assessing, repairing, cleaning, and pricing a wide range of electronic items for resale in our store.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment: Examine donated electronics to determine their working condition and repair needs.
  • Repair: Utilize your technical skills to fix and refurbish electronics, ensuring they are in good working order.
  • Cleaning: Give electronic items a thorough cleaning to make them shine and ready for display.
  • Pricing: Accurately price items based on their condition and market value, ensuring competitive and fair pricing.
  • Testing: Test electronic items to verify their functionality and identify any necessary repairs.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers with electronic-related inquiries, providing product information and guidance.

Requirements:

  • A passion for electronics and a willingness to learn and expand your skills.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of electronic repair and troubleshooting.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Time Commitment: This is a flexible volunteer role. You can choose to volunteer one or more days a week for a 3-8 hour shift, and your hours can be adjusted to suit your schedule.

Training

You will be required to complete two government required online trainings as well as read about the history of our organization and sign some forms.
