DescriptionWe are a community legal clinic serving residents of Brampton, Caledon and Dufferin County. We provide free legal services to persons with low income, including help with tenancies, disability benefits, social assistance, immigration and employment law. Check out www.NorthPeelDufferinJustice.ca to find out more about what we do. Community legal clinics are funded by Legal Aid Ontario. Each one is an independent non-profit corporation with a community-based board of directors. Our Board of Directors is a policy board comprised of committed and enthusiastic individuals who are knowledgeable in law, finances, management and community services. We are currently looking for new board members with a high degree of personal commitment to our cause. Strength of diversity is one of our core organizational values, and we aspire to include the wisdom of myriad cultures and traditions and accessibilities – reflecting the breadth and depth of our always-growing community. We welcome applications from anyone feeling aligned with our mission and feeling a call-to-action. Applicants must either live or work in Brampton, Caledon or Dufferin County. QualificationsSuccessful candidates must live or work in Brampton, Caledon or Dufferin County. They must be able to serve an initial three-year term and should be able to devote approximately 4 hours per month to:
