Many opportunities are opening up for Blooming Boulevards, public interest is high, and we want to do more. We need three new board members to help us steer our active environmental organization as we expand our Gardens, Education, and Outreach programs. As a valued Member of the Board of Directors, you will provide leadership to achieve our mission and uphold our values, execute our strategic vision to deliver on organizational goals, ensure high standards of governance and fiscal responsibility, and act as an ambassador for Blooming Boulevards within the community. It's an exciting time to get involved in our growing organization! If you can contribute your experience, knowledge and skills to Blooming Boulevards by serving as a Member of our Board of Directors, please let us know.

While preference will be given to Mississauga residents, all qualified applicants are welcome to apply. We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in marketing, communications, fundraising, legal matters, or government relations. Additionally, we are looking to fill the executive role of Board Secretary.

This role is a minimum 3-year term. Time commitment averages 4-5 hours per month annually, with heavier involvement required from January to June. This role also requires attendance of the monthly 2-hour board meeting, plus additional planning and committee meetings as needed.

We have an orientation package that will get you started, and as a new board member, you will be mentored by our friendly team while you settle in.
