Goal

The Gift Shop at Partners Community Health – Wellbrook Place offers a variety of giftware, health and beauty products, books and snacks for purchase to residents, staff and the public. In addition to assisting with sales, the Gift Shop Attendant should be able to offer friendly conversation with residents and visitors as the gift shop is centrally located in the lobby and is a point of interest for people passing through the area. All money raised through gift shop sales support recreational activities and programs for the residents of Wellbrook Place.
Description

  • Provide great customer service to visitors and staff
  • Process purchases and offer freindly chat with shop patrons
  • Ensure shop and merchandise is tidy and well stocked 
  • Must observe confidentiality of residents

Qualifications

  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Accurate counting and numeracy skills
  • Must be comfortable using a computer and handling money
  • Must be able to work well independently or with a team member
  • Comfort with and able to keep occupied during slow periods
  • Experience in a retail setting (an asset)
  • Must be able to take direction, understand and follow safety guidelines as well as PCH policies
  • Receptive and accepting of diverse populations and sensitive to the needs of all

  10:00am to 1:00pm

  1:00pm to 4:00pm

  • New Volunteer Orientation session,AODA training

  • Three training shifts under the supervision of an assigned staff member or volunteer leader
