MICBA (Mississauga Italian Canadian Benevolent Association) Forum Italia Community Services provides supportive services to seniors in residential not-for-profit housing at 155 & 195 Forum Drive (Mississauga), and volunteers are needed for programs in both buildings. We are the service provider that operates inside the housing buildings, and the wide variety of programs and associated seniors support initiatives would not be possible without a capable and dedicated team of volunteers, some veterans, many new. Thank you!

We have a continuing need of volunteers who can provide our residents and their guests with a wide variety of musical (and other forms of) entertainment (see DESCRIPTION, below). We view entertainment as a very important part of our commitment to keep our residents active, social, and happy. Opportunity to provide enjoyment through music and entertainment (plus expand your music inventory and your versatility) + Increase & encourage social interactions between residents, and by doing so, learn about 'older adults' + 'Network' with residents, their family and friends (enhance your performance reputation in the local community) + Enjoy the warmth of your audiences as you entertain them from your heart (you will be appreciated and our residents will thank you for your performance!) + Gain an awareness of the way a quality long term care facility works + Secondary school students can gain hours towards their '40 hours' volunteering community service graduation requirement

FLEXIBLE, depending upon the residents' availability and facility's scheduling, to be mutually arranged with the volunteer. OVERALL: (Between 4 and 6 months), 60 hours of commitment are asked of all volunteers.
