Goal

Community Alliance for Support and Empowerment (CASE) is a not-for-profit organization which builds socially-stable and engaged communities through the recognition of Individual uniqueness and enhancing people's capabilities. Our programs are geared towards inspiring people's lives, building and empowering individuals regardless of age, race, culture, religion and other social locations.The role of 'Volunteer Program Coordinator' allows individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference within their communities to exercise their passion by helping youth. Volunteers will be able to enrich the experience of the youth by providing them with meaningful services and programs. Through this position, volunteers by creative programming will inspire youth to become active and engaged within their communities, while at the same time fostering values of support, inclusivity, and acceptance.The position allows the volunteers to build stronger youth communities, as well as inspiring community leaders and stakeholders.


Description

> Assist in the planning and implementation of CASE's programs> Research and arrange activities/events/programs with third party organizations, recreational groups, and guest speakers> Coordinate and promote all of CASE's programs and events through social media platforms and other forms of advertising> Create and monitor schedules for all of CASE's programs> Identify areas for growth or improvement within CASE's programs> Train volunteers how to effectively run CASE's programs and manage volunteers' schedule

Qualifications

● Minimum age - 15● Satisfactory 'Police Vulnerable Sector Check' within the last 6 months● Excellent verbal and written communication skills both with youth and adults● Committed to working with both youth and seniors● Friendly, outgoing, creative, and enthusiastic● Ability to manage, delegate and supervise (punctual, reliable, a 'role model' for youth)● Able to volunteer independently as well as in a team environment● Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines with excellent administrative skills● Committed to ensuring the safety, enjoyment, and care of program participants● Previous coaching, working, or teaching experience● Certified in Standard First Aid and CPR is an asset
