The Brampton CIBC Run for the Cure planning committee is looking for a dynamic, ebergetic volunteer with initiative and leadership qualities to fill the Local Sponsorship Lead!By utilizing your personal and professional networks, you will strengthen relationships with existing sponsors and attract new sponsors. Working with your committee you are responsible for prospecting, developing, and establishing new relationships and leads, both in cash and in-kind sponsorships. (Comfortable making cold calls and sponsorship asks, and ability to network and negotiate.)PLEASE APPLY AT THE EARLIEST OPPORTUNITY (Planning/Strategy meetings are already underway). ● Time Commitment:- Monthly committee meetings from May to July and biweekly in August and September- Weekly tasks averaging 2-5 hours per week depending upon your role and the time of year- Attendance, plus assumption of a leadership role at pre-Run events/opportunities- Mandatory in person availability from October 2 to 6, 2019 ● The ideal 'Local Sponsorship Lead' has:- Strong organizational and time management skills (especially scheduling and deadlines)- Ability to volunteer independently and as a member of a team- Exceptional oral/written communication skills- Awareness of sources of sponsorship in the Brampton community for an event of this type (preferably a 'network'/contacts to draw from)- Prior fundraising experience that enables you to guide the committee, provide an example- Passion for the breast cancer cause

Committee is supported by volunteer Run Directors and staff partners and all members receive volunteer onboarding and orientation and training throughout their volunteer journey with the organization.
